Are you one of those people would love to be your own boss? Perhaps you are tired of the drive and the traffic on your daily journey to and from work. Maybe you are just tired of the same old routine and feel stuck in a less than rewarding position. You think, if you were able to use your ingenuity and energy, that you could make more money and even spend more time with your family. This sounds good yet seems a bit scary when you really think about it. After all you do have security in your present job or do you?

Well, you don’t have to quit your day job in order to start your own business. Why not begin a part time Internet home business from the comfort of your own home? Surely you can find a few spare hours in the evenings, or on the weekends, and even in the early morning.

Once you have decided that you definitely want to set up a real work from home business, you will need to determine what equipment you need. If you have a computer and access to the Internet you already have the basic requirements. This is one of the advantages of starting an online business. You need very little in the way of equipment and very little money to investment.

Next, ask yourself what kind of services can you offer and what skills can you bring to bear. Do you have a hobby that you could capitalize on or is there something about which you are really passionate? Then get on the Internet and research your market and see if you can find a gap that you could plug with a product or range of products, or a service that you could offer.

Once you have made a decision you have to get set up and start selling!

One method is to sell something that you make, or a product native to your area that people elsewhere might want. This is a great way to get started and gives you a good chance of success. The downside to this is that you’d have to store the goods and find time to pack orders and ship them.

If you don’t want to handle the goods yourself you could try drop shipping. One option is to sell goods on auction sites and have your drop shipper deliver them to the customer. If you choose this option, you will need to do your research first to ensure that you use a reputable drop shipper. Also, ask the drop shipper to ship the goods using labels with your logo, name and address on them and not those of the drop shipper.

Affiliate marketing is a popular option for running a home-based business also. Affiliate marketing will provide you with the opportunity to sell either a product or a service without having to worry about handling the goods, the shipping or the money side of the operation. Also, affiliate marketing can be a great way to offer online services and digital products such as software applications, e-books and so on as well as physical products.

It’s a mistake if you think a lack of money is a reason not to start an Internet home business. If you have a computer, space to put it, and the desire then you have all you need. All it takes is time and a commitment to succeed It is time to stop making excuses and as the old Nike ad said “just do it”.

Do you feel overwhelmed by the number of tasks you need to do to get your Internet home business moving forward? Don’t despair! One way to overcome this problem is to hire someone to help you. This could mean either subcontracting a particular task or actually hiring an employee to work for you.

It is usually more economical to outsource and outsourcing specific web tasks is easier to do than you may think. It is quite possible to hire someone locally or to use a specialty source such as Elance.com.

You might feel skittish about it but you can outsource almost everything. I understand HTML up to a point but I’m certainly no expert so I usually outsource any web project that I have which involves HTML coding.

One of the most commonly outsourced areas of Internet marketing is website content writing. Whether you are in need of sales letters, blog posts, articles, or a series of e-mails for your auto responder, outsourcing can provide you with a fast way to get these things written while you concentrate on other areas of your business.

When it comes to finding somebody to do some of your Internet business writing jobs, there are a few things you should check before you assign a job.

1. When searching for candidates on outsourcing websites be sure to read their profiles to check their qualifications and the quality of their English.

2. Check for any negative feedback. Outsourcing websites usually include feedback about each freelancer registered on the site. That allows you to see how many jobs the freelancers have completed, how many of them were completed in good time, and the degree of satisfaction expressed by the employer

3. Know exactly what you want. Be very specific in telling the provider what you want and what you expect the results to be. Ask your proposed employee to supply you with samples of his or her work. This will accomplish several things.

** First, you will get an insight into the person’s responsiveness and efficiency depending on how swiftly they supply material for you to check.

** Second, the material will tell you a lot about the person’s writing abilities. If you ask for some writing about a specific topic, you will also be able to see how well your instructions have been met. It will also help you gauge the level of expertise that the writer has on that topic.

4. Set a deadline and ask the freelancer if it can be met. No matter how good a freelancer may be, if he or she is too busy to do your job then it is not a good idea to hire that person.

If you follow these guidelines it will help you decide if you want to use outsourcing as one of your tools. If you do then start thinking about what you would like to outsource and choose a provider. You should find it perfectly possible to get your web content writing tasks outsourced to competent freelancers who will do the job in good time for a reasonable price.

This could be a great boost for your Internet home business and free up your time to do the tasks with which you are more comfortable.

An Internet home business will fail or succeed based on several factors. If you have a business online that you are trying to build you can guarantee your success if you follow these pieces of the Internet home business puzzle.

1. You need a website or blog. This should be one of those “duh” moments. Yet it is amazing how many people try to build their business online using a replicated website.

You see this all the time in various business, affiliate marketing, and network marketing businesses. The members are using the website provided for them by the business opportunity.

What this means is everyone is promoting the exact same website. If you want to increase the odds of becoming successful you need to eliminate some of your competitors. Having your own website will do that for you.

2. Another important factor is to have a blog of your own. Today many Internet marketers use a blog as their primary website. However that is not the case for everyone.

Starting a blog is easy to do, and the benefits are huge. Blogs give you chances for extra traffic from search engines, social directories, social networking sites, and social media such as video or audio sites.

Plus blogs are an excellent way to passively sell yourself and your business opportunity. You do not even have to write blog articles yourself if that is a problem for you.

You can hire a blog writer for $4-$5 dollars an article. This is an investment in yourself and in your business that is worth making.

3. You must build your list! If you have done Internet marketing at all in the past you’ve heard this more than once. However it’s truer today than at any time in the past.

You need a sign-up form on every web page and blog page that you build. You should be using a quality auto responder such as Get Response to store your prospect’s name and email address in.

An email list gives you prospects to contact at anytime you want. Because most people will not buy a product or join a program on their first exposure following up is extremely important.

4. How many new prospects hear about you everyday? You should spend the majority of time promoting your Internet business in multiple ways. The more prospects you are exposing your opportunity to the more you will grow.

In summary these are three pieces of the Internet home business puzzle. Promoting your website or blog to as many prospects as possible is important and so is following up with them via e-mail!

In my previous two blog posts I discussed different aspects of article marketing as a way to generate free quality leads for your Internet home business website. In this, the final article of this 3 part series, I want to give you several key tips to help improve your results when you publish your articles.

1. First, and very important, is the quality of your articles. Many article marketers think that the most important thing is to include certain key phrases to attract the search engines. They attach little significance to the content and quality of their articles. However, if your articles are poorly written, nobody will read them and they will reflect badly up on your image as an Internet marketer.

Every article does not have to be a literary masterpiece. It should, however, be well written, contain useful content and be easy to read. If you do not have time to write your own articles of good quality, find a writer who can do a good job for you. Remember, a good article once posted will continue to drive targeted leads to your website weeks, months and even years after you have written it. So good quality can really make a big difference in the results you get.

2.   Write a short attention grabbing headline. Your headline is the most important part of your article.  Your keywords are important to attract the right audience and you should try to use a good keyword phrase in the article title. However, they don’t always work in the title and If they don’t work every time that’s OK.

Go over to Ezinearticles.com and do some research by checking out headlines and thinking about the ones that attract your attention or surprise you into wanting to read more.

3.   Use keyword phrases to attract the right type of reader. Each article should be written around a single keyword phrase, and variations on that phrase. You can research keyword phrases using the Google Adwords Keyword Research Tool.

Include the keyword phrase in your title when possible and in opening and closing paragraphs. Use variations of the keyword in the rest of your article body. Variation is important not only to give the article  natural style, but also because constant repetition of the same keyword phrase is likely to get your article rejected by search engines for keyword stuffing.

4. Use High Quality Private Label Rights Content: If you cannot afford to hire an article writer to write individual articles for you, look out for good quality PLR article packs. Always change the title before you publish this material. You should also modify and rework the content and add your own personal touch. If you are publishing on your own Internet home business website, you do not need to make so many changes, but if you want your article to be accepted on article directories then it is important to completely rework it to make it your own unique product. Think of PLR as a starting point for your own inspiration and it will help you become a much more efficient article writer.

5. Keep your target audience in focus. Always remember who your target audience is and write your article with their perspective in mind. Think about what your target readers would want to get from your article, and then give it to them.

6. Leverage your article. Once you have written a good quality article, leverage your good work by writing various different versions of the same article. If you do this five or six times, you will effectively have five or six new articles which you can post on different article directories as well as on your website and blog.

These 6 essential article marketing tips will help you to get more targeted traffic to your website. Remember the title is important. The content should of good quality, interesting and easy to read. If you follow these steps you will soon attract a following and build your reputation as an expert in your field on the Internet.

If you are an experienced Internet marketer you may want to use as many different marketing methods as you can including both article marketing and pay per click marketing. However, if you are a newbie or somewhat inexperienced article marketing may be the better choice.

The beauty of article marketing is that even beginners can do it at a basic level and still get results  Their first efforts may yield only a trickle of leads from each article every month. Even so, a trickle of leads at zero cost is still a benefit for your internet home business. It certainly compares favorably to the risk that beginners face when they experiment with Pay Per Click marketing.

Suppose you write and publish a complete dud of an article that attracts zero traffic. It may have cost you an hour of your time but if you have published it manually on free article directories, it won’t cost you a single cent to write and distribute. You haven’t spent any money, and you will still have succeeded in building a few links back to your website.

On the other hand, if you set up a clunker of a PPC campaign, you’ll quickly find yourself several hundred dollars out of pocket and with nothing to show for it.

An obvious benefit of article marketing is that once you have posted an article you can pretty much forget about it. It doesn’t matter whether you have just a handful of articles published or several thousand, you don’t have to touch those articles again and yet you will still enjoy a regular flow of targeted leads coming from your articles to your webpages.

With PPC each click represents a potential sale but it also represents a drain on your advertising budget.  As a result most people find that they need to regularly  monitor each campaign that they are running and to keep track of the performance of their various ads.

But surely, PPC is a much more efficient way of getting highly targeted leads to your website, isn’t it?

To a certain extent this is true. However, the degree of efficiency can be eroded away to virtually zero if you are diligent and regular article publisher. Here’s how:

Suppose you get 1000 clicksthroughs a week from your PPC campaigns, and that each click costs five cents. Your weekly PPC marketing bill is fifty dollars.

Let’s say, again, that you get an average of five clickthroughs a week from each article that you publish on any one of the leading article directories such as Ezinearticles.com. (As a newbie, this may be a little high, but once you build up experience with article writing and marketing this rate will certainly be too low.) To get the same number of clickthroughs from your articles as you get from your PPC campaign you would need to publish 200 articles. (200 x 5 clicks per week = 1,000 leads.)

You may be wondering now, “How long will it take me to write 200 articles?”

You really need to write just 40 articles. Remember, I said ”publish” not ”write”. If you choose five leading article directories to publish on, and publish each article on all five directories, you only need to write forty articles to achieve your target.

If you can write four articles a week, in ten weeks you could have an article marketing campaign that is generating 1000 free, high-quality, targeted leads to your homebased business opportunity web pages.  Did I forget to mention, those thousand targeted leads per week would come free of charge.

Consistent article marketing with a strategy of submitting the articles to a half dozen or so top article  directories will build up targeted leads to your website. It will also help brand you as an expert in your niche market and people will want more information from you.

If you are looking for ways to get good quality leads to your internet home business website for the lowest possible cost you can’t get any lower than free. In this article I will show you how you can use articles – just like the one you are reading now – to attract hundreds or even thousands of free high quality leads to your website every month, no matter what business niche you are operating in.

The process we are talking about is commonly called article marketing. The idea is to write short articles on topics related to your business niche that you think will be of interest to potential customers. Once you have written an article you can publish it on your own website or blog, and also on literally hundreds of online article directories.

Generally it doesn’t cost anything to publish an article on an article directory. When you publish an article in a directory you will be able to add some extra information in a “resource box” at the end of the article. The most important thing to understand about the resource box is that you can include in your comments a URL link back to one of your web pages. This little link is how you will get traffic act to your website.

The more article directories in which you publish your articles, the more links you will get back to your website and the more quality leads they will generate for you. In addition, thousands and thousands of website owners trawl the article directories in search of content that they can republish on their own websites. In that way, your article, complete with your resource box and link it contains, could be republished on hundreds of other websites multiplying the number of links back to your web pages.

In turn this will increase the amount of traffic you will see a arriving at your website as people read your article and click through to your web page. Another benefit of this kind of link generation is that your website will become more prominent on Google and other search engines for keywords and keyword phrases relating to your business niche.

So once again, you can expect quality leads to arrive on your website free of charge. If we compare article marketing to Pay Per Click (PPC) marketing, article marketing works more slowly, but it works continuously over time and on a low budget or a zero cost budget. PPC on the other hand will start delivering leads almost immediately, but every single one comes at a cost and a lot of inexperienced Internet marketers have had their fingers burned with PPC. I experienced this using PPC with my first website.

There are some internet marketers who use article marketing exclusively to successfully promote their websites. What I have given you here are just the basics and there is much more to learn. In future articles we’ll look at additional ways you can use article marketing to promote your home based business opportunity website

8 Top Free Internet Marketing Tips

Believe it or not you can market your website business to greatest effect with very little or no cash. You can’t do this with paid advertising or with Pay Per Click ads! But we’re going to take a look here at some of the best and most popular free Internet marketing methods that won’t bust your budget..

Here are my picks for free online marketing:

1.Article Marketing – A typical article can be anywhere from 250 to 750 words long. Articles posted on article directories (such as ezinearticles.com) can help you get more traffic to your website through the link in your article signature file. You should be aware that some article directories do not accept short articles so you need to check the directory rule before submitting articles. Each article can also help the specific web page it links to to rank higher in the search engines for specific keyword phrases, which will then bring more targeted traffic to your web page.

2 .Do-It-Yourself Search Engine Optimization – You can find out a lot about simple SEO techniques free of charge by doing some basic online research with Google. Study the techniques and build each of your web pages around sound basic SEO principles. This will attract some traffic to your site without you having to do any active publicity work.

This is especially effective if you combine SEO with longtail keyword phrases. Longtail keywords are longer keyword phrases that are very specific. They attract a smaller number of more highly targeted visitors and are much less competitive than more common keywords. If you build a series of ten webpages around ten longtail phrases, and each page attracts just fifty visits per month that will amount to 500 visits in total from highly targeted traffic. The more you build the more your traffic will continue to grow without you having to do additional work.

3. Blogging – Blogging is a free or very cheap way to build an online presence. Some Internet marketers stick solely to blogging and focus on building an online presence through the power of their blog posts alone. If you have a lively writing style and enjoy writing, start blogging! Whether you use Blogger, WordPress, TypePad or some other blogging platform, blogs tend to get great results on the search engines. A blog post around a longtail keyword can appear on the first page of Google for that search term within hours of being published.

4. Posting blog comments – This marketing tactic should to be done with care. Find popular blogs that are related to your market niche and post responses to the blog posts. When posting a comment you are usually allowed to include a website url which will hyperlink your name when your comment appears on the blog. Always post constructive comments in response to the topic of the blog. Remember, high quality comments will be appreciated and will get people curious to find out more about you. They will then click on the link to  your website.

5. Forum marketing – Log in to several forums that are similar to your market niche. Set up a signature file with a link back to your website and contribute to the conversations on the forums. Each time you post a comment your signature file will appear underneath. As with blog comments, it is important to offer good quality comments to be accepted as an asset to the forum and to show that you are an expert in your field.

6. Post Videos On Video Sharing Sites – If your computer has a web cam then it won’t cost you anything to make “talking head” style videos and post them on YouTube.com. Whenever you upload a video you can also post a blurb with a link back to your website.

7.Link exchanging – Although somewhat dated now, link exchanging still offers a free method of getting your website “linked in” to the Internet. You can either seek out sites you would like to exchange links with and contact the site owner, or join a free link exchange service and do it that way.

8. Traffic Exchange Surfing – If you have time to spare, you can always get free traffic by surfing traffic exchanges. However, be sure to post only simple squeeze page style pages on the exchanges because people usually click away from web pages very quickly on traffic exchanges. Create a simple page with a bold headline, a free offer and sign up form, and include a photo of yourself and your name to help build up your online profile.

As I’ve illustrated here, there are numerous ways to drive free traffic to your website. Even if you are operating with a limited budget you can still successfully build and market an Internet Home Business
