How much should you spend to improve a particular portion of your sales? If you can improve some area of your sales, you certainly should. Split testing is a way of doing this and is considered part of successful internet based marketing. The important thing is to know when you have tested enough.

Let’s take a few moments to examine this testing process. You might examine the color scheme of your site for example comparing blue against red. After a reasonable sample size of visitors you find that the 2 colors are just about even but the blue is a little better. That doesn’t mean that blue is the best, only that it is better than red. So now you test the blue against some other colors, and in the end you do find that blue is the best.

What is next? You test 2 versions of the title and the go through the same process as with the color testing against multiple titles.

The point I am making here is that at some point your testing is costing more than you are gaining from it. Some internet marketers will disagree and say that you’re never done testing. Let’s take a look at this.

Perhaps you have spent not only hours, days or weeks on testing, but also in some instances a month or more. Remember, time is money. Could you have spent that time doing something that would have actually generated income? You could be losing customers because people are not converting as high since you are concentrating on testing and making changes on you site rather than marketing.

Please understand, I think split testing is good and serves a purpose. It is one of many successful internet based marketing techniques. My point is that you should not go overboard and you should not test everything just because you can. Determine what your conversion goals are, and then test, and once you have reached your goal move on.

It is difficult to get people to your squeeze page, so once they are there, make sure you get them on your list. In order to build your list it is important that you have a well designed squeeze page.

Actually the fundamentals of a squeeze page are pretty simple and even common sense, yet many people overlook them. If you want a squeeze page that converts, then make sure to keep these basic elements in mind.

The most important thing is the need to focus on a single message. That message is “join my list.” You want visitors to focus on what you have to offer, and not being distracted by advertisements or external links.

Ideally, a privacy policy and terms of service are the only other messages you want on the page. The main purpose of the squeeze page is to direct visitors to your message.

In addition to the simplicity theme, is the visual focal point. Visitors cannot opt in if they don’t see the opt in box or if they get distracted by hundreds of images. Make sure that your opt in box is above the fold and make sure that it stands out. The easiest way to do this is to add extra white-space around it. That way it looks like it is alone on an island and your visitor’s eye will naturally be drawn to it.

Another important thing is to reward your visitors for opting in. They are on your site because they are seeking information or answers to a question so it makes good sense to give them something in return for their visit.

What you give could be a free report, a video or a subscription to your newsletter. Whatever it is you offer, be certain that it is something that pertains to your business.

Some squeeze pages go overboard in asking for information – name, address, email address, phone number, date of birth, etc. This is not a good way to maximize your conversions. It is a proven fact that the less you ask for, the higher your conversions will be. My recommendation is to ask only for the email address and name.

If you don’t have a good squeeze page, you are throwing away time, money, and essential resources. However, if you want internet based marketing success you need a squeeze page that converts. So make sure to implement the basic elements in this article.

Without a financial plan how can you possibly know what you are spending your money on, if you are spending enough, or if you are spending too much?

Therefore, it only makes sense that you create a financial plan so that you, not only avoid overspending and wasting valuable resources, but also that you invest enough money properly in order to insure the success of your internet based marketing business.

Here are three things for you to consider when creating the financial plan for your home business:

1. Are spending too freely during your start-up phase?  When you first start your business, there are a number of unnecessary expenses that many home business owners often fall victim to.

You will receive many offers and ideas that all sound good, so there is the temptation to make a lot of purchases and invest capital quickly. This becomes even more of a temptation if you have the good fortune to immediately begin to generate some revenue. Just because you appear to have immediate success doesn’t mean that it will continue that way.  You should expect highs and lows and plan for both.

2. You do have to spend money in order to make money. Some of the necessary expenses include: cost of your domain name, hosting for your website, advertising, and outsourcing for some of the tasks you are unable to do.

You will also have the phone bill, accounting fees and perhaps legal fees. Although it is necessary to keep your spending under control, there are essential expenses that you can justify. And you should include these in your long term financial plan.

3. In addition to knowing when to control your spending and what expenses are justified, there will be some tough times when you will need emergency funds just to keep your business afloat. It is foolish to think that you will never encounter   bad times. They do happen and the key is to develop a contingency plan in order to get back on track as soon as possible.

Although internet business is different in some ways from offline business, the  financial planning of both have some common principles. In developing your financial plan for internet based marketing success, remember these 3 basic   . principles:

First, recognize when to control or limit your spending in order to ensure long term success.  Second, identify what expenses are always justified or necessary for growth. Finally, there should always be a contingency plan for those times when things are not going as well as they were expected to.

Blogging has proven its worth as far as any business is concerned, and more and more business owners are realizing the value that blogging brings to their business.

With all of the blogging software and tools that have been created in recent years it has become much easier to produce a blog without worrying about a lot of details. There are some basic components that can be found at the foundation of nearly every successful blog.  So let’s examine some of them here.

1. First of all, there are no set rules. To be successful as a blogger you must have a degree of self confidence. Without confidence in yourself, you will likely pass up opportunities that could make you more successful. Remember this presents a great internet marketing technique where you can share your expertise and connect with clients and new prospective clients.

2. Guest posting plays an important role in successful blogging. This means both allowing guest posters as well as doing some guest posting yourself. I think  that some people fear accepting guest posts because they think that their readers will “discover” that the guest poster is better than they are.  Then the readers will start reading the guest posters blog instead of their’s.

The truth is, readers will always give you the credit for what a guest poster says, because you are the one presenting them with the information.  Additionally, if your readers do read the guest posters blog, they won’t stop reading yours.  If anything, they read your blog more often because you provide them with valuable information

It is important that your guest posts deliver real value in the content to avid being turned down. Guest postings are great way to build relationships and successful bloggers like building relationships with other people in their niche.

3. Creating a product of your own such as an ebook, a video or conducting interviews with successful internet based marketers is a way to really create a profitable blog. This a great way to build your credibility and generate a source of recurring income.

Internet based marketing success with a blog occurs in many ways and for many reasons, however the three things mentioned here tend to be a constant in blogs that are successful.

One of the reasons home based businesses are less successful than they could be is that people sometimes disregard the subtle differences between working at home and working in an office. If you understand these problems and plan ahead, they are easy to overcome.

While it is true that some distractions can occur in an office job, distractions are far more common in a work at home environment. Your family is there, your television is there and it is the place where you are normally most comfortable. It is simply much easier to get distracted at home.

One of the benefits of working from home is that you can work when and where you want. However, I do not think that it is a good idea to set up your office in your family room. You really need a separate work space that allows you to concentrate on your work.

Another difficulty that home based business owners have is that they don’t always treat their business as a business.  For example, many home based businesses do not have a business plan.  This may not sound important because if you are working alone, you know exactly what is going on.  But a business plan is a lot more than simply an assessment and projection of your business.  It includes goals that you expect to meet; it includes market analysis; it includes standard operating procedures, and more.  In short, it describes not only how you should run you business, but also what it will take to be successful.

Sometimes home based business marketers just get in their own way. A business which is home based doesn’t mean that it has to be small. Many businesses that were started in someone’s garage or basement have grown into large businesses. Never sell yourself or your business short because it takes place in your home.

Home based businesses fail for many reasons. In many instances the problem isn’t the business itself, but rather the owner.  Some of the most common mistakes that home based business owners make includes: becoming distracted, not creating a separate workspace, not treating it like a “real” business, and simply getting in their own way.

Being aware of these common problems will help you avoid them as you plan and develop your business working from home.

This is a Game Changer

Article marketing is a really effective means of drawing traffic to your website, building inbound links, and generally boosting your online visibility.

It has been around for a long time but it is now changing, and I hope you will be excited to learn about the changes.

There are many benefits in article marketing, Still there are a couple of problems which exist in its current form:

1.Thousands of articles are now published each and every day … and your articles are in competition with all those other articles. With all of this competition it has become difficult to get noticed and to get published in the really valuable places like popular ezines and niche-focused websites.

2. If your article on Site A is the same as an article on Site B and an article on Site C, the value of the link from your article to your website is really only going to count in just one of those places. Google recognizes this so it doesn’t make any difference how many times the article has been published it’s only going to count once.

There is a powerful system I’ve been using for over a year and the company is ready to launch a system that will resolve both these problems.

1. First, your articles are published immediately on niche-focused websites. And they’ve added a unique twist to really ramp it up.

2. Second, you can be sure each and every site publishing your article publishes a completely unique version. Every link will now count.

This is on top of all the benefits of the traditional article marketing. As a result, your articles are published in hundreds of article directories, sent to email publishers, and so on …

Trust me … this is VERY powerful and the top of the line article marketing system which allows you to build enormous publicity for your website.

This is going to launch in less than a week, but for the next few days leading up to the launch they’re allowing you to ‘lock in’ on their existing rates.

That means you need to act now to take advantage of this. And you will be ‘locked in’ to the huge discounted price for as long as you continue using the program.

I highly recommend you take a look at this Here.  You will thank me when you do.
