On of the major problems many affiliate marketers have is that it can be difficult deciding what type of affiliate product to promote. Most affiliate marketing courses will talk about the big name affiliate sights like ClickBank or Commission Junction, but what if you cannot find a product there that you think will sell well?

Fortunately there are a number of different techniques that you can use to find the perfect affiliate program. This is particularly true if your goal is to promote a physical product instead of an ebook or a membership site. If you know this you may have already taken the following steps:

You have already researched your niche and have a pretty good idea what types of products are relevant for your target market. If you are promoting nutrient supplements you want to market a nutrient product not an ebook. So now it is time to begin your search.

Go to a search engine such as Google or Yahoo and type in “nutrient supplement affiliate program”. You should find a long list of links to affiliate sites that have affiliate programs. This is just an example of how you can find affiliate sites for most any product you wish to market.

However, if this doesn’t prove satisfactory keep the search page intact and take a look at the Adsense ads. If you click on those ads they may lead you to the products you are looking for. Check in the footer for a link to the affiliate program.

If you still haven’t found affiliate products that you are completely satisfied with then you may want to look at the websites you will be competing with. You may get some ideas there about additional products.

Online stores are another possibility as are affiliate networks such as Market Leverage and PepperJam. Quite a few of online stores do have their own affiliate programs and you should be aware that they do get a percent of any sales you make.

Finally, the way to earn extra income from home with the most profit potential is with a product that you develop or a service you can provide. It does take some work but you are in control. You set the price and determine how much you make on each sale.

One of the best investments you can make to grow your internet home based business to make real money online is by writing articles.

Here are a few tips on how you can use article marketing to increase your opportunities for home business success.

1. Write eye appealing titles. It’s important that you can grab the attention of your reader immediately. Your traffic will be determined by your title!

One way to come up with good title ideas is to look for highly viewed articles in your niche and model your titles after them. If possible state a benefit for the reader in the title. If you can get your keyword in the title, fine; but if not don’t fret about it.

2. Build a good keyword list. There are many tools available such as Google Adwords Keyword Tool and Traffic Travis that can help you build a good keyword list to write your articles around.

Targeting keywords in your articles is a good way to write interesting articles that are focused on a specific topic. This is also an excellent way to get the search engines to notice your articles drive traffic to your site.

3. Define your target audience. Using article marketing is different than other forms of writing such as those that appear in newspapers and magazines.

People who read articles online do it differently than when they’re reading a magazine. You need to know exactly who your audience is and write articles that are short and to the point.

The ideal length of your articles is going to be around 400 to 500 words. The chief reason for the shorter articles is because online people don’t read, they skim. This is another reason to also keep the paragraphs short as they are much easier to read on screen.

4. Get a lot of articles online especially when you start a new site. If you want to increase your chance for home business success you need to have as many articles online as you possibly can.

If you enjoy writing you should be writing a lot of articles yourself. Otherwise, you might consider hiring a freelance writer to write some articles for you. Surprisingly you can find writers to write articles for $5-$10 apiece. Use English speaking writers.

5. Write a short resource box telling your reader what to do. Your goal is to get them to click on the link in your resource box which drives traffic to your landing page. Offering them something free can help.

Remember, your articles are an investment and can generate real money online for years. Your home business success will increase when you get more visitors to your website. Article marketing is a great way to do that.

That first sale is generally the most difficult one to make for the average affiliate marketer. After that you would think it should be easy to repeat the process and continue to make sales. We may have a lot of excuses for not moving forward, but quite often we simply begin searching for a better program or a higher priced product. Unfortunately, this can lead us on a never ending chase.

First, there is no “one best program.” It is possible to experience this problem without even recognizing it. We simply convince ourselves that we are doing research to choose our next promotion. Research is necessary but should not become excessive.

So what does this mean to you?  It should mean that whatever program you are looking at right now is probably good enough.  As long as it meets your pre-requisites then go for it. In case you haven’t already created your own requirements here is a quick look at some of the most common.

Of course we are interested in the amount of money we are going to be paid. This may sound like an obvious standard to set, however you should not set a single price point.  The key is to set several payout baselines. This is especially true if you are marketing to a list.  The average person tends to make smaller purchases at the beginning and larger purchases as time goes on. So you might begin selling products that are inexpensive
and paying a  $5 commission. As you choose products later on you should expect much more.  If you are selling a product that is $100, then a $5 payout is obviously not enough.

The next thing to consider is what type of commissions you will be getting.  If you are focused on generating recurring commissions from membership sites or auto-ship programs, then you will often make less per sale because you will be paid multiple times.  This means that over the long-run, you will be getting much more in total commissions than from a single sale.

There is any number of standards that you could set. It all depends on the type of product or service that you choose to promote as these factors can affect the average commission rate. The main thing to remember is that as long you can find a product that meets your minimum criteria, it is time to start promoting.

Remember not to get caught up in that never ending chase for that miraculous product that will make you rich quickly. To become successful as an internet based affiliate marketer, you should start making income as soon as possible.

Did you know that many small businesses and home businesses that benefit from having a blog, do so indirectly? We know that you can make money by monetizing a blog by adding some form of advertising or promoting affiliate offers.  However, there are also indirect ways that a blog can be profitable. Here is a quick look at some of the different ways that you can profit from your blog indirectly.

1.Job Offers

It’s not unheard of to hear stories about people who were contacted about an employment opportunity because a company liked their blog. This is easily understood because larger companies have discovered that bloggers have already established their particular expertise within a given field with the knowledge they have exhibited in their blogs.

2.Speaking Engagements

If you reach the point where you are recognized as an expert in your niche, people will frequently seek your advice. This can result in both speaking engagements and consulting work. This can be especially true if you are in a highly specialized field.

3.Writing Offers

Another potential way to earn money is through writing deals.  There are a number of different ways that this is possible. Some companies will offer to pay for writing ads, newspapers and news organizations have offered bloggers paid positions within their company and publishing companies have made offers to bloggers to condense their blog into a book and get it published.

If you enjoy writing you could become a freelance writer writing articles for others. If this is your goal there is no better place to advertise than on your blog or website.

4.Joint Ventures

A great number of internet based marketing success stories involve joint ventures. Over time your blog has the potential to help you make connections within your niche. With those connections you may receive offers to become a partner in a marketing endeavor.

You should thoroughly study the situation before becoming a partner. Once you are satisfied there is no reason why you couldn’t create a business opportunity together.

These 4 items demonstrate the ways a blog can benefit you indirectly. Monetizing your blog is certainly worthwhile, but don’t overlook these other benefits that come as the result of continuously providing quality content for your readers.

There are a lot of different ways that an internet home based business can be promoted offline, but many online business owners do not consider promoting their site offline. You might ask whether you should promote offline and generally the answer is yes.

For a long time offline promotion was centered on addresses and phone numbers and in many places. With the advent of the Internet, the home business website became the store front and is the most valuable advertising tool that you have. So why wouldn’t you have your web address along with your phone number and address on your business cards, perhaps your car and any other place you might advertise your business offline?

A good reason for promoting your website offline is that people today are shopping online more frequently. They will choose to visit a business’s website over actually getting in the car and driving to the physical location.  If you are running a business out of your home, then you don’t want potential customers dropping by unexpectedly, so send them to your website.

By promoting your website offline you can pre-qualify customers.  Most customers will visit your website to see what your business is all about.  Should they take the next step and actually contact you, then they have already pre-qualified them as serious customers.  As an added bonus, you should be building your list of leads through your website.  That way, you can get their contact information, usually by offering a free gift.

Websites are considered by most people as a way to tell whether or not a business is professional or not.  In fact, some people won’t even consider working with a home business or small business if they don’t have a website.

Also keep in mind that as technology advances the internet becomes more immediately accessible.  Smart phone technology has increased the popularity of mobile web access at a rapid pace. Today, if people want to know something about your business, they won’t phone, they will get on their smart phone and look up your website.

By now you may have decided that you should be promoting your internet home based website offline. How then should you do it? The short answer is any place you can think of where you might advertise an offline business.

People with autism don’t understand gestures, intonation, facial expressions, and body posture which convey more of the meaning of the communication than the words spoken.

Initiate a conversation with someone who seems socially awkward.  You will probably be amazed by what you will learn.
Over 12 years of age and in the USA?  Please vote 3 ways every day during January to “Start School for Children With Communication Challenges-Stop Bullying” at
